As we are in the process of building this space, we are making it accessible and open for those local youth groups that need a home.
We know that there several groups in the West Cork area who have been moved around due to rent, staffing issues and policy issues. We want to provide a permanent home for these groups, a place that they will be welcome in, and hopefully can make their own.
We have plans to install state of the art technology, kitchen facilities, music room facilities and a hang out space for local young people to enjoy.
In keeping with Clonakilty’s autism friendly status, we are working hard with our builders, design team and specialist consultants to ensure that our space is accessible for all of those with varying sensory and processing needs, and those of all abilities.
This youth centre will be an open environment for those of all backgrounds, with all interests and beliefs.
